Las Vegas Concert Calendar for the Summer at Red Rock

May 13 – Sean Kingston (NOTE: this concert has been moved inside to Rocks Lounge)

Born in the U.S. but raised in Jamaica gives Sean Kingston the background for his mix of hip hop and dancehall reggae. Kingston’s second single, “Beautiful Girls,” soared through the charts to No. 1 at only 16 years old. He’s also had Top 10 hits with the songs “Take You There” and “Fire Burning.” tickets to Sean Kingston

May 27 – Barenaked Ladies

The Barenaked Ladies had risen in popularity and throughout the music charts in Canada before making the move to the U.S. Once they did, the band soared up the mainstream charts with several Top 5 hits, including “It’s All Been Done,” “One Week” and “Pinch Me,” among others. tickets to Barenaked Ladies

June 3 – Goo Goo Dolls

The Goo Goo Dolls released several albums before becoming a well-known name, but once they did, they blew up. Songs like “Name,” “Slide,” “Better Days” and “Give A Little Bit” all were Top 5 hits and “Iris” and “Black Balloon” received Grammy nominations. tickets to Goo Goo Dolls

June 10 – O.A.R.

The band O.A.R., short for Of A Revolution, got their start as classmates at Ohio State University in the late ’90s. It didn’t take long before they were headlining gigs and made a national name for themselves on the jam band and mainstream circuit. Songs like “That Was a Crazy Game of Poker,” “Love and Memories,” “Heard the World” and “Shattered” have provided the band with a consistent fan base throughout today. tickets to O.A.R.

June 17 – Steel Pulse

British reggae band Steel Pulse incorporates the best of roots rock reggae while fusing it with elements of Latin and jazz music. Throughout its career, the band has received multiple Grammy nominations for albums like Victims, that featured the single “Taxi Driver,” as well as Rastafari Centennial and Rage and Fury. They also won a Grammy for the album Babylon the Bandit that features the song “Not King James Version.” tickets to Steel Pulse

June 24 – Gavin DeGraw

Singer songwriter Gavin DeGraw got what seemed slow, but was a sure start in the music scene following the release of his debut album Chariot in 2003. He gained a small following in New York the year it was released, but by 2004, DeGraw had a Top 10 hit with the single “I Don’t Want to Be” off the album. The album was then re-released as Chariot + Stripped where the original title track “Chariot” soared through the charts and the album earned double platinum certification. He continued to have hit songs, including “Follow Through” and “In Love with a Girl.” tickets to Gavin DeGraw

July 1 – Grace Potter & The Nocturnals

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are like a modern-day version of Tina Turner stroking the microphone in a spangled mini-dress while fronting the Rolling Stones circa Sticky Fingers. The proof is there for all to hear on the band’s third album for Hollywood Records, hitting Spring 2010, and marks an artistic breakthrough for a vital young band caught in the act of fulfilling its immense promise. Little wonder that Grace and her cohorts have chosen to title it, directly and emphatically, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. tickets to Grace Potter

July 8 – Puddle of Mudd

The alt-metal quartet Puddle of Mudd has several hit songs to its name, including “Blurry,” “Drift & Die,” “She Hates Me” and “Away From Me,” among others. The band has continuously released albums, with the most recent Icon: The Best of Puddle of Mudd in November 2010. tickets to Puddle of Mudd

July 15 – Neon Trees

Like their name, Neon Trees are a combination of slick pop hooks and sturdy organic rock, both melodic and hard-hitting, their anthems of adolescent angst, longing, love lost and found, delivered with the kind of heart-on-the-sleeve passion that only comes from hard work and commitment. tickets to Neon Trees

July 29 – Lifehouse

The alt-metal quartet Puddle of Mudd has several hit songs to its name, including “Blurry,” “Drift & Die,” “She Hates Me” and “Away From Me,” among others. The band has continuously released albums, with the most recent Icon: The Best of Puddle of Mudd in November 2010. tickets to Lifehouse

August 5 – Weezer

Weezer first hit the music scene in the mid-’90s and has been a driving force ever since. With initial singles like “Undone (The Sweater Song),” “Buddy Holly” and “Say it Ain’t So,” they became a household name. The band has gone on hiatus several times throughout the years for members to work on side projects. They joined forces once again and the 2005 song “Beverly Hills” off the album Make Believe received platinum status, keeping Weezer that household name. tickets to Weezer

Comments

  1. All of these bands are SO old…with the exception of Weezer most of them haven’t been relevant for AT LEAST the past 5 years or so…They’re all great bands (with the exception of Sean Kingston who is both horrible and not a band)though…

    • concertstations says:

Oh my friend, the “old” bands are the best ones :) . Sincerely, we try to provide a great mix of entertainment while at the same time bringing in the concerts that will be the biggest hits for the most people possible. We hope you can find a show you will like (we suggest Steel Pulse) during our summer concert series or at any of our properties … http://www.stationcasinos.com/entertainment/concerts/ … thanks so much!

    • Carol says:

Absolutely not! Neon Trees are fresh and tearing up on radio! I’m so glad to be seeing them in this fun atmosphere. Any time they play, it’s always a great party! We’re seeing them in San Diego mid-June, but can’t wait to come to Vegas a month later to see them again.

    • Matt says:

Old? I guess if you want to compare to Lady Gaga and Keisha, then yes, they are old. I refer to these bands as sustained. Why? Because they keep bringing the fans out when they go on tour, not because it is part of the current top 40 but because the music is high quality music. Case in point. O.A.R. and Lifehouse are still selling out major venues throughout the world while still hitting your Top 40 lists when they get back in the studio. I would suggest checking out some of these bands before you begin to criticize the choices.

  2. Darrell says:

Just out of curiosity, why was the Echo & the Bunnymen show canceled? Also, is there any possibility of rescheduling?

    • concertstations says:

it’s a fair question Darrell, thank you, the best way to answer is to say that our venue size didn’t match the fan base, as of now there are no concrete plans to book the band but we will say we would love to host an Echo show in the future if the right opportunity comes along, sorry and thanks again

  3. T says:

Are tickets available at the door?

    • concertstations says:

yes, just about every show has tickets available the day of show at Will Call, which right near Keno and Sports Book, but don’t sleep on Weezer, selling fast, which show you coming to?

  4. Justin says:

About how many people can fit directly in front of the stage at the Sandbar? And is that a seating only area? (going to the Weezer show)

    Thanx!! Can’t wait!

  5. jenn says:

Was at the Weezer concert and know it was sold out… so how many tickets is “sold out” Just curious… it was packed, but fun… thanks for bringing them in.

    • concertstations says:

Weezer was cool and we are glad you had fun … packed for us by the pool is around 5,000 … thanks

  6. Sue says:

Hi, I bought 2 tickets to the Tears for Fears show back in March. The only option then was standing room only. Now it looks like there are tickets being sold for a seating area? My whole trip to Red Rocks, I’m coming from St. Louis, was to see this show. And to be able to see it from the best location possible. Is it true that now I won’t even have the chance to get a good spot? What should i do? Can you help? I’m willing to pay the extra for an upgrade? Is this possible? Thanks for your help

    • concertstations says:

Tickets purchased prior to the addition of the seated area will be honored in both the seated and standing area. Your tickets should have SRO18 printed in the upper corner. No need to purchase or exchange your current ticket. Just show your current ticket to the usher in the seated area and you will be admitted.

      Thanks!
