The nine-minute fireworks show, named “Station Casinos’ 35th Anniversary, 4th of July Blast,” will celebrate two special occasions: the Company’s 35th anniversary of catering to the locals as well as the nation’s 235th birthday. The citywide fireworks shows will go off at:

STATION CASINOS HISTORY
Station Casinos was founded on July 1, 1976 when Frank Fertitta Jr. hired 90 employees and opened a 5,000 square foot entertainment venue (that is today Palace Station) named “The Casino” offering 100 slot machines and a snack bar. It quickly became a local’s hangout and due to its immediate popularity, more entertainment amenities were added and the property’s name evolved over the years to “Bingo Palace” and in 1984 with the addition of a hotel tower the Company settled on the name “Palace Station.” As the community grew, so did the Company. Fertitta’s sons Frank III and Lorenzo took over the Company in the early 90’s and grew it over the years into one of the largest gaming companies in Las Vegas that today has 18 properties and 13,000 team members throughout the Valley.

Y r you not gonna have them @Boulder Station
not at Boulder this year, if you’re at the south end of Boulder Highway, we suggest GVR maybe, otherwise, Texas/Fiesta Rancho or Aliante might be best…thanks
Why do you always leave out Santa Fe? Why can’t there be fireworks there also? How about some 50s or 60s music at Santa Fe so we do not have to travel across the city to the Southpoint.
the bad news is no Santa Fe this year, the good news is if you live in that area it’s not too far to four of our locations, Red Rock, Aliante, Texas and Fiesta Rancho, to see the show!
Will there be a designated viewing areas at any of the locations? Or is it recommended to get a room at one of the hotels? I have a 3 year old that has just discovered the wonders of fireworks shows and I want her to be able to get a good view. Even though we don’t live too far from Fiesta and Texas, not even too far from Aliante and Red Rock, we won’t be able to see them from our house.
love it, bring the kids! You don’t have to get a room as many gather in the parking areas, which kinda turns into a little party, for instance the top floor of the parking garage at Fiesta Rancho might be the best view in town, as you can see Texas/Rancho fireworks, Aliante, Red Rock and more! Let us know if you need any more info, can check rooms here: http://www.stationcasinos.com/hotel/
How is “nine” minutes the “largest” show in Southern Nevada? Are the others all 8 minutes or less, or is your shells-per-minute count that much higher? Or is it a typo?
that’s about correct Matt, when you combine the length of show, how many shells shot off at each locale and that it’s four full fireworks shows all going off at the same time…it’s the largest…you coming?
Coming down from the rain in Seattle to celebrate the 4th of July and Stations 35th birthday at Red Rock (our favorite hotel casino of all time)are there going to be any point multipliers going on?
nice, should be plenty hot and sunny here, haven’t heard about multiplier for 4th weekend yet, be sure to pass along once we hear, thanks
Hi – is the fireworks show at Red Rock free? And where is the best place to view the fireworks from the property? Thanks!
excellent questions, yes, the fireworks shows are free, and … we asked the team at Red Rock the same question about the best viewing spots and they said they would answer us this later this week … once they tell us we will post above, stay tuned, thanks
If I’m on the strip are there any good locations to view the fireworks? Iw as planning to go to the Welcome to Vegas sign…will fireworks be visible from there to get a picture of the sign with fireworks in the background?
we’re not telling, jk, that sounds like a good photo op but will be crazy crowded, we suggest checking here: http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/jun/21/casinos-plan-fireworks-fourth-july/ … thanks, happy 4th!
Will Texas Station and Fiesta Rancho be having separate shows or will they sort of be one, seeing that the two are across the street from each other?
good question, it’s the same show that can be seen from either/both locations, although dueling fireworks shows is a cool idea
, thanks
I am planning on either going to Green valley ranch Or Red rock, the show starts at 8:45 pm on Monday the fourth am I correct? Or is that when they shoot off the fireworks?
I have 3 kids and I want to finally show them the firework that station sets of I keep missing them.
So I want to be correct on the date and time.
thank you
correct, 8:45pm on Monday July 4th at GVR and RR … and Aliante Station, Texas Station/Fiesta Ranch…bring the kids!
We are going to go to Green Valley Ranch for the fireworks. Any suggestions for viewing spots? thanks!
hey Wendi, we asked the folks at GVR the same question and they told us the backyard area around the pool is the best spot, 1) a lot of people gather on the top level of the parking garage 2) some people hang outside in The District, thanks!
Usually in an event like this there are streets that are closed or blocked off. Can you give us those locations and areas near the station? Also any suggestions where you can grab a reasonable dinner for a large family of 6? And finally since we are traveling long distance to see the fireworks, how early do you suggest we get there?
Hi Norma, no streets will be closed near our casinos for fireworks, but you might/definitely want to avoid Las Vegas Blvd. (The Strip). Hard to recommend a restaurant without knowing where you are going to be, but our buffets are affordable for sure and should satisfy everyone’s tastes. Lastly, can’t get here early enough, but generally speaking people don’t start gathering for the shows until about an (1) hour before blast off…so around 8pm. Thanks!
if you are going to eat at a station buffet … id suggest red rock, aliante or green valley ranch. skip the other station casino buffets, they aren’t up to par.
So where can the public view the fireworks at Red Rock?
the suggested public viewing area is the northeast casino surface parking lot (at the corner of Charleston Blvd & Pavilion Center Drive)…and just look up
We are staying at Red Rock and have a 10 and 8 year old and are looking forward to a great weekend as always. We’ve made cabana reservations, but looking at the poster again it appears that kids are not allowed. Can you please let us know what our other options are?
hey Jeff, yes, Cabana Club is 21+, so if you are a guest staying at the hotel you will have access to the pool area during the fireworks, and those tweens (is that the correct term?) will have the run of the place, have fun, thanks
Hi! The 4th of July is my birthday! Any specials for me to enhance my celebration?
best question yet from a real Yankee Doodle, besides having some of the fun on this page, going to the fireworks and thanking the heavens for another year and many more … can’t think of anything
What does “Awaiting Moderation” mean?
where? Sounds like a synonym for “Under Construction.”
Is the large area with artificial grass where you could always sit & view the fireworks other years before at Red Rock Casino no longer there? That was a great place to see them!
not sure, outside or on the property? I think that is our new Amphitheater: http://blog.stationcasinos.com/2011/03/judys-preview-2011-las-vegas-concerts-at-station-casinos/
“We luv locals”…as long as you don’t want to enjoy fireworks from the east side of town…but guess what???!!! We are going to have a fireworks show at 2 of our properties that are next door to each other!!! But don’t worry, we luv locals…
sorry we couldn’t accommodate everyone, still love ya, have a great weekend!
You could have, you chose not too. Just amazed that you can have two shows next door to each other, but can’t have a show on the east side, I am sure you guys have plenty of business at Boulder, or even Sunset, to warrant the same “shows” provided to your more “prominent” properties. Unfortunately, I’m not feeling the “luv”.
sorry Chris, the show at Texas/Fiesta Rancho is one show, there’s always GVR, thanks
OMG please tell me you’re still having the fireworks at Texas/Fiesta!!!!!!!!!! I can’t believe the one time mother nature gives us rain it hass to be on the 4th of July!!!!!!!
Mother Nature smiled on us, did you enjoy?
We love locals… But stay away from our pools. Thats for guests only.
sorry Derek, we had to limit the crowd at the Red Rock pool, which we assume you are referencing, other pools at GVR and Aliante had/have pool access for locals, thanks
Is this a good show
yes
Can u access the pool at GVR if u don’t have a room there?
yes, for the fireworks and daily: http://www.greenvalleyranchresort.com/hotel/pool-grounds.php … thanks
Red Rock station made a mistake by charging people to see the firework show inside the pool area. there wasn’t a lot of people at the pool area compared to last year when it was free. after the firework show people left the pool area and the bars and tables were empty. the dealers, cocktail waitress, and bartenders didn’t making any money because there wasn’t alot of people at the pool. In 2010 it was free for everyone to go out in the back pool lot and everyone was able to watch the firework show. the general manager made a bad decision because they didn’t let the crowd come into the back to watch the show. when you don’t have a big crowd people are not going to stay and spend money at the casino and restaurant. My advise make it free for everyone to come into the pool back area and watch the firework show and that will bring in a bigger crowd and many families will spend more money after wards in the casino. Red Rock station lost more money because they denied the crowd from coming into the casino to watch it. Who ever made the decision to deny the crowd from entering the back pool area should be fired.
noted, thanks for the feedback
We had a great time last night at GVR. We shot the entire 9.5 minute fireworks show. Here is the link to the video
awesome, we’re going to link on our YouTube http://www.youtube.com/stationcasinosvegas … thanks
