For the first time ever, the Las Vegas Junior Wranglers Pee Wee hockey team has been invited to play in the 56th Annual Tournoi International de Hockey de Quebéc. The tournament will be played from February 11-22, 2015 at the PEPSI Coliseé in Quebéc, Canada.
This prestigious international tournament consists of 120 teams from more than 15 countries battling it out in five different league levels. Our very own Junior Wranglers are one of only 6 American AA Pee Wee hockey teams asked to participate.
The Junior Wranglers hold weekly practices at the Fiesta Rancho SoBe Ice Arena.
Support the Jr. Wranglers
To help support the team and their international trip, Fiesta Rancho will be holding a two part fundraiser at the SoBe Ice Arena February 7.
Public skate sessions cost $10 per person which cover admission and skate rental. During the 4:15-5:15 pm public skate session on February 7th all proceeds will go to the team to help them raise the needed funds to get to their destination.
But that’s not all! UNLV’s Hockey Club has a game on Saturday as well. They will be going head to head with Colorado School of Mines at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $5 and a portion of the proceeds will also be donated to the Junior Wranglers.
The Junior Wranglers will be getting the once in a lifetime chance to play against international teams from all over Europe and Asia. It is considered the biggest minor league hockey event in the world and over 1,000 previous tournament participants have played or are playing in the National Hockey League.
Please join the team on Saturday to show your support!
Congratulations again to the Las Vegas Junior Wranglers and good luck at the tournament!
