Hot in Las Vegas Slots: What’s ‘Fallin’ 2012 Edition

IT’S ALMOST AUTUMN!

Honestly, not the most colorful change here in Vegas, but  autumn starts Sept. 22 at 10:49am (we had to Google that) so let’s see what’s new and colorful around the slot floors as the temperatures hit 100 degrees for the last couple times in 2012.

If you did a lot of driving, you could play seven times a week.

Before we get to the newest slot machines in Las Vegas we’re going to use this gray box to frame the free video and slot tournaments going at our casinos in Oct. (we’ll update for the other autumn when we know). These all run until around 7pm the days of the events. Your first entry is free (swipe at the kiosk). There’s a nice top prize for each and cashes for other top scorers.

Hot in Slots: ‘The Summer (2012) of Jackpots’ Edition

The endless summer has ended, this latest Hot in Slots post is newer

FIRST, LET’S WRAP up the Cadillacs and Cash promotions from May where there were many winners and smiling faces.

Next, in June many of our casinos are holding Free (open-to-the-public, anyone-with-a-card-can-play) Video Poker Tournaments.

OK, onto the greatest and latest slot machines in Las Vegas now, or soon to be, on our casino floors.

At this time, we can also share some info about “upcoming” new slots and releases:

  • The new Superman from Aristocrat should be landing on our floors by the end of June.
  • The new Michael Jackson game will install at all our casinos sometime in July. The MJ game is still pending gaming approval so we don’t have a firm date yet.
  • And we think the new Gone With The Wind theme is happening this summer, once approved.

Free Video Poker Tournaments in June

LAS VEGAS VIDEO Poker Players who are Boarding Pass members receive invitations to video poker tournaments as part of their rewards mailers quite frequently. Those are lots of fun, but most are invite-only.

What about the rest of Video Poker players in Las Vegas?

Well, June at Stations and Fiestas is your month as eight different casinos are offering free VP tournaments almost every day of the week where, in most cases, you get your first entry free for having a Boarding Pass card and you can earn more entries if you’d like and win some nice cash. On some days you could, if you wanted to drive around a little, hit as many as three tournaments in a day, on Tuesdays and Thursdays for example, in June!

Cadillacs & Cash Winners … So Far

SO, OUR MAY $5 Million Cadillacs And Cash Super Swipe Daily Giveaway (we know, long title, but good promotion) is underway and we already have a lucky, lucky who won a new Caddy just by swiping at the kiosk (See Joyann, first picture below).

In super simple terms, there are two ways to win from May 4-28 at all Station Casinos and Fiestas.

  1. Swipe your Boarding Pass card at the casino and instantly win free stuff … from points, to dining to a new Cadillac.
  2. Play and get entries into the 8:15pm nightly drawings where each night, at each casino, five folks will win $500 ($500 more if you are present, see Syd below) and one folk of those folks will win a Cadillac.

Largest Multi-Property Linked Pai Gow Progressive in Southern Nevada

LAS VEGAS – Following a successful trial that linked Pai Gow progressive jackpots at gaming tables at Sunset Station and Red Rock Resort, the progressive expanded February 1 to include all 10 Station Casinos and Fiesta properties including Aliante Station, Boulder Station, Fiesta Henderson, Fiesta Rancho, Green Valley Ranch resort, Palace Station, Red Rock Resort, Santa Fe Station, Sunset Station and Texas Station. The additional properties give Station Casinos the largest multi-property linked Pai Gow progressive in Southern Nevada, which results in higher jackpots.

7-Card Straight Flush! Edward hit the Progressive jackpot for $200,922 a mere 6 hours after launch at Palace Station.

The expansion of the program means jackpots will start higher, grow faster and players will hit more often with more than 30 tables that are linked company-wide. The beginning jackpot after all properties connected was more than $200,000. Less than seven hours after the progressive was linked to Palace Station, which is coincidentally the final property to be connected, a Virginia man hit that progressive jackpot with a 7-card straight-flush that included a joker. With any regular bet, players become eligible for the progressive with a side bet of only $1. The progressive is won with a seven card straight-flush with or without a joker. The jackpot is once again over $200,000 as of the release date.

Players at Station Casinos can also win 10% of the progressive jackpot with a winning hand of five aces. The initial linked Pai Gow progressive involving Sunset Station and Red Rock Resort was a pilot performed in partnership with ShuffleMaster that began in October. As a result of the program’s success and popularity, Station Casinos expanded it to 10 properties allowing the opportunity for greater jackpots at more locations throughout the Valley.

In late Febraury, Eric was second to hit the jackpot for over $200,000. Again at Palace Station. There's Steve again ... One Dollar!
