10 Fun Nightlife Events at Station Casinos in February

Hi, I’m Kyle Markman, Nightlife Director at Station Casinos. Locals, hear me out: There’s a lot going in your neighborhood casinos this month that you’re going to want to know about. So much so, that I made a list.

Here are the top 10 events that I’m looking forward to in February.  Check back at the beginning of each month and I’ll give you a new list.  As always you can get more information to any of these events on www.nightlifestation.com or by calling 702-495-3333.

 10. Brand New Ladies Night at Red Rock – Every Thursday starting February 2 inside Lucky Bar.  Seriously. Free drinks for Ladies 7-11pm

9. Masquerade Ball in Lucky Bar – Red Rock – February 18th.

8. Steel Panther Saturday Nights at Green Valley Ranch!  Absolutely my favorite band in Vegas. 11pm at Ovation. Check the schedule here.

6. David Nail concert in Chrome and after party in Revolver – February 18th – Santa Fe Station.  One of the hottest new acts and the ladies love him.  He’s going to have a meet and greet afterwards in Revolver. Buy Davild Nail concert tickets here while they last.

5. David Ritz in T-bones on Friday Nights.  If you haven’t had the opportunity to see this guy perform, you are missing out!  He plays guitar and piano and sings all your favorites.  He starts at 6pm and it’s a great way to celebrate a long week of work.

4. Sexiest Server competition on spyonvegas.com.  Revolver’s Casey Bogan is competing and campaigning strong!  Please check out her pictures (she’s in a bathtub full of Skittles!) and vote!  You can vote every two hours.

3.  Jam Sessions late night in Hanks.  Starts at 10:30 and goes until all night.  Watch this video to see the great vibe and the talent is amazing.  BEST KEPT SECRET IN VEGAS.

2.  Rugby Fest!!!!  A Night of fans, brews, and food from around the world!  The Official Rugby 7s Welcome party at Sunset Station Amphitheater.  February 10th at 8pm.  Free. 21 and up only.

And no. 1 is….

1.  REVOLVER’S TWO-YEAR ANNIVERSARY!  We thank you all for a fantastic 2nd year so get ready a special Sunday night Mardi Gracias  Party February 19th.  We’ll have drink specials, beads, masks, floats, drink specials, hurricanes, and wait until you see our staff that night…. and drink specials.

Hey, you should follow me on twitter @kylemarkman! I’m really upping my game. News about events, inside scoop, chances to win cool stuff, and some pretty bad jokes, too.

5.4.3.2.1 … Happy New Year’s (Eve) Las Vegas!

WHAT’S YOUR NEW Year’s resolution?

As for us, we resolve to keep the Las Vegas New Year’s parties going well into the 2012 night/morning/the next night.

We’ll also keep updating this post as the details get less fuzzy, sort of like your memory on January 2? Anyway, here’s this if you need a room in Las Vegas on New Year’s.

What else, you gotta be 21 or older as this is all adult Vegas New Year’s type fun (except for the bowling). We also have a whole New Year’s Bingo thing going on if you’re into it at all seven of our Station Bingo Rooms, and at Fiesta Rancho and Fiesta Henderson, too.

Here for all our New Year’s Eve and Day dining including at the buffet!

Last, tickets for all the events can be bought online through here, at any of our Rewards Centers or by calling  1-800-745-3000.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Job Envy: Revolver’s DJ Sinner

WE COUNT OURSELVES here at the SC Blog amongst those who have pretty great jobs at Station Casinos.

We plan to find others at company who fit into this category in our new “Job Envy” series, which starts here with DJ Sinner from Revolver Saloon at Santa Fe Station.

Why envious? Well, for starters his job, when done well, means a great time is had by all the party people in the house at the best Country bar in Las Vegas.

Here’s DJ Sinner…

Tell us a little about yourself and your background.

I started Dj’ing at the age of 19 in Military clubs in Alaska.  I soon moved to Jacksonville, Fla. and started spinning at several clubs including Baja Beach Club, which was the inspiration for a club here in Vegas that was called The Beach. These experiences helped mold my style of Dj’ing.

What makes Revolver stand out from other Country bars in Vegas?

Well, there are a few things.  The diversity of the music and the crowd.  It appeals to people from all ages and walks of life. Our staff is really friendly!  It’s kind of a big Vegas-style nightclub with a small-town feel.  State of the art lights, video and sound mixed in with a cowboy-sheik decor.  Big on style, friendliness and value with no pretense of being a big club.

Revolver celebrated its big 1-year anniversary/birthday party and you’ve been here since Day 1… what would you say is your favorite thing about coming to work every night?

It has to be the people. Staff and customers alike.  It’s always a great vibe.

What’s the strangest/funniest/craziest thing you’ve seen from your “viewing spot” in the DJ booth?

The participation events.  Whether it’s a costume contest, dancing contests or horse races.  The surprises never end.

If you were to forecast Revolver’s 2nd year what would you say it has in store for its guests?

I really don’t foresee a lot of changes, because the formula is working so well. I see new faces every week and I think the broad appeal is going to keep people coming back.

UPDATED: She Won!

SHE WON! Congratulations Brittney for being named Las Vegas’ Sexiest Server by SpyOnVegas.com. Pictures below.

Thanks for voting for Brittney!

WHEN THE SC Blog heard one of our very own was competing in the Spy on Vegas “Sexy Server Contest,” our first thought was “Are there pictures?” Yes, there are pictures.

But our second thought was: How can we help?

So we caught up with Brittney, bartender at our Revolver Saloon at Santa Fe Station, to learn a little more about her, some tips on being cool at Revolver and the contest.

Tell us a little about yourself – what makes you different from every other bartender in the city?
So many bartenders around town seem inhospitable and look at you as if you’re simply a dollar sign. What makes me different from other bartenders in the city is that I make it a point to give my customers a great experience by being gracious and inviting. I always smile and am as friendly as possible so my guests can leave with a great experience, not just empty pockets!

Can you share with us five tips for a first-timer’s visit to Revolver?

  1. Revolver has a casual atmosphere with a top-quality level of service. No need for ties and heels but wear comfortable shoes so you can partake in hours of drinking and dancing!
  2. Line Dance and Two-Step lessons are offered Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays 8:15-9:00pm. Don’t be scared to come down because you aren’t necessarily into Line Dancing or Country music. Revolver’s resident DJ, Frank Rebelo (AKA DJ Sinner), does an amazing job of mixing together all types of music so you’ll hear everything from old and new Country to Dance music to Top 40 hits. You’re almost guaranteed to end up on the dance floor at some point in time!
  3. In order to get a bartender’s attention, definitely DO NOT yell across the bar or violently wave your arms. Revolver gets very busy, so the customers that wait for their turn patiently and politely will definitely receive our attention. The biggest things to remember are: know what you want to order, have your money ready to pay and pay attention to the bartender so you can place your order when she’s ready!
  4. Revolver has a great selection of entertainment including beer pong, pool tables and video games. Every Thursday we hold a beer pong tournament with a cash prize. We open at 8 so get here early so you can get some practice time in before the tables fill up…some of these guys are really good!
  5. There are amazing drink specials every night at Revolver, including $2 Jack on Fridays and $2 Jager on Saturdays. Make sure to take advantage of these great deals. You can always check out our website (nightlifestation.com) for information on what specials we have each night. If you’re a fan of Revolver on facebook you can even participate to win things like free bottle service or concert tickets. Our team is all about taking care of our fans!

Like Revolver on facebook

We hear that you’ve worked at Revolver since Day 1 – any good stories you can share?
Revolver holds theme nights like toga parties, superhero nights and black light parties. During our 70’s skate nights, I would see a flood of sequins and afros break dancing in roller skates to the Bee Gees. At Halloween for our costume contest, we had a gigantic Incredible Hulk and Big Foot getting down on the dance floor. We never have a dull theme night!

Last and final big question of the week – you’re one of the contestants in the Spy on Vegas Sexy Server Contest and voting doesn’t end till 2/20. Anything you can share with our readers on why they should vote for you?

Readers should vote for me because not only do I exude confidence and poise, but I am also a warm and authentic person. I’m not just in this competition for myself but I’m representing Revolver and Station Casinos because they deserve recognition for being such wonderful companies.

Revolver’s First Year Was a Real Party: Here’s the Pictures to Prove It

OUR ENTIRE STAFF, including Delilah, would like to thank everyone who has helped make the first year of Revolver such an overwhelming success.

As we get ready for our big first-year anniversary party this weekend, it’s hard to believe it has been a year since our grand opening on February 5,  2010…so many great parties, so many good people, so many good times.

We’re getting a little sentimental, so we’ll cut it short and share this collage we made for you, say thanks again and that we have plans to make our second year even better. (If you click on it you can scroll through our memories from our first year using the arrows down the bottom.)

Las Vegas Nightlife: ‘Revolver’ loaded for Feb. 5 grand opening

Country cool, sexy and chic, Revolver's dance floor features Delilah, a 200-pound armadillo disco ball. The opening-night party on Feb. 5 at Santa Fe Station starts at 7pm.

While Revolver at Santa Fe Station is getting set to open, we say goodbye to Cherry at Red Rock Resort.

At risk of sounding unsentimental, this flip-flop of fates of two of our Las Vegas night clubs is often how things roll in the trendy, catch-lightning-in-a-bottle world of nightlife entertainment.

“The shelf life for clubs in Las Vegas is around two to three years. Cherry had a great four-year run but had run its course,” says Kyle ”Midnight” Markman of the Station Casinos Nightlife Group.

More Revolver pictures and info at the Station Casinos Nightlife website

For the record, Cherry Nightclub was part of the grand opening of the Red Rock Resort in April 2006. During its successful “run” it was the hot spot for nightlife in northwest Las Vegas and the Summerlin area. Plans for a new club at Red Rock are in the early planning stages. The next nightlife venue promises to be a “better fit for our current Summerlin clientele,” Markman said.

That leads us to Revolver, officially Revolver Dance Hall & Saloon, which is set for its big opening party on Friday, February 5 at Santa Fe Station. Tricia “Up All Night” Elder of the Nightlife Group paints Revolver as “Country with a twist, sexy and chic.” DJ music will be in the range of Carrie Underwood to The Black Eyed Peas. An amiable serving staff and well-priced drinks (Beergaritas!) to go with a giant armadillo (her name is Delilah) disco ball and mechanical bull set an unpretentious vibe.

Hours at Revolver are from 7pm to when the last man (woman) is still standing. (We’re thinking at least til 3am.) Covers on normal nights are $5 for women and $10 for men.

The weekly schedule at Revolver is running as follows:

  • Wednesdays: Wasted Wednesdays (ladies drink free until midnight)
  • Thursdays: Industry Night (bull-riding competitions)
  • Fridays: American BadAss Party ($1 shots of Jack, $1 Budweisers)
  • Saturdays: Dukes Night (ladies dressed Daisy-style drink free until midnight)

We know you miss Cherry. We know you’ll love Revolver!

What would you like to see in the next night club at Red Rock? Let us know below!
