5.4.3.2.1 … Happy New Year’s (Eve) Las Vegas!

WHAT’S YOUR NEW Year’s resolution?

As for us, we resolve to keep the Las Vegas New Year’s parties going well into the 2012 night/morning/the next night.

We’ll also keep updating this post as the details get less fuzzy, sort of like your memory on January 2? Anyway, here’s this if you need a room in Las Vegas on New Year’s.

What else, you gotta be 21 or older as this is all adult Vegas New Year’s type fun (except for the bowling). We also have a whole New Year’s Bingo thing going on if you’re into it at all seven of our Station Bingo Rooms, and at Fiesta Rancho and Fiesta Henderson, too.

Here for all our New Year’s Eve and Day dining including at the buffet!

Last, tickets for all the events can be bought online through here, at any of our Rewards Centers or by calling  1-800-745-3000.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Judy’s Preview: 2011 Las Vegas Concerts at Station Casinos

WE’RE VERY EXCITED about our Las Vegas 2011 concert schedule here at Station Casinos. We pride ourselves in providing value, and great music for every taste, with a touch of comedy for your funny bone from time to time, too. So excited and proud, in fact, I’ve agreed to blog in this space about the shows each month with a preview and a little inside information of what you can expect. If you would like to attend any of our shows this month, or look even further ahead on our 2011 entertainment schedule, here’s our spot to buy Las Vegas concert tickets.

Enjoy the shows, we look forward to entertaining you!

Vice President of Entertainment, Station Casinos

December 2011 Concerts In Las Vegas

Happy Holidays everyone! Wouldn’t you agree that giving the gift of concert tickets is better than say, a sweater? This month, we asked a question around the office: “What’s the best concert you have seen, and why?

My favorite by far was Waylon Jennings at Texas Station. He was a favorite in my household growing up. When I was able to bring him to a Station Casino, I actually teared up for the first and only time when an artist walked onto one of our stages. He has subsequently passed away, but I am always proud that his last two plays in Las Vegas were with us.

Here are a few of the responses to our “best concert” question that we got back from various team members at our offices:

Pink Floyd.  Division Bell Tour -Soldier Field
I was just a casual fan at the time, and that show changed my life. It wasn’t just a concert, it was a religious experience.
P.S. I was sober; no really, I was sober, I swear. Marc – Art Director

About 5 years ago I was working at the Hard Rock Hotel in the marketing department and we put on the most epic night in the history of that casino. It was Rolling Stone Magazine’s 40th anniversary party and we went all out. We had 50 Cent and Angels and Airwaves performing at the pool, Linkin Park in the parking lot, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton at Body English and then a private invite-only performance by Kanye West in the Joint. All at the same time!!! There were only about 500 of us in the Joint as Kanye was putting on an amazing show. All of a sudden, the lights all went out and Jamie Foxx walked through the middle of the crowd , jumped up on stage, and they started performing Golddigger! Everyone went wild.- Kyle – Director of Nightlife

String Cheese Incident with Keller Williams in Tulum, Mexico. December 1998. When you combine a high energy band and a Mayan temple things get mystical, magical and decadent real fast.  - Rich – Web Developer

It was Led Zeppelin, at the Los Angeles Forum, during the Presence Tour, June, 1977. Why? It was Led Zeppelin, that’s why! - Jeff – Sr. Copy Writer

My most memorable concert experience was this past summer at the Revolution Party for the People summer Concert Series at Red Rock Sandbar Pool. Lifehouse was performing and we had to open the doors about 20 minutes late because it might rain. Well we got the concert going and it was a great night, Lifehouse did a great show and as they finished up a song the stage went black and they walked off stage leaving the crowd wondering if that was the end. A few minutes later the lights came back on and they came back out performing one of their top hits, just a little into the song it lightly started to rain and the crowd just erupted with everyone dancing in the rain. That night was an amazing show and a great experience.  - Tim, Nightlife Interactive Media Development

Lenny Kravitz at Retama Park. I got second-hand stoned. You probably can’t use that, but it’s true. - Anonymous (we promised)

Before working at Red Rock I had been to a whole two concerts. Spice Girls in fifth grade, (awesome by the way) and some Country Fest with my parents. When the Revolution Concert Series started I was stoked. I attended every show and loved them all! Puddle of Mudd was by far the most eventful concert to me. The line wrapped all the way out the doors, passed the movie theatres, into the bowling alley, and back around. I had never seen so many familiar faces in one place! It was like an unplanned family and friend reunion! To top it all off, it started raining on the last few songs of the concert. Everyone loved it and just continued to dance, sing, and cheer! The night continued with the after parties at the Cabana Club, Rocks Lounge, then at the Cherry Suite! By far the most amazing concert experience. I’m pretty sure the sun was up when I got home. - Lexi, Nightlife Guest Development

Best concert I’ve seen would have to be Enrique Iglesias & Pitbull at Red Rock Resort a couple months ago. I was with a great group of people so I already anticipated an enjoyable night but once Pitbull hit the stage my expectations were blown away. Not only did the performers put on a stellar performance but the energy in the venue was AMAZING and highly contagious. Seeing 9,000 people in one area going wild with excitement was a unique experience that carried it’s energy into the rest of my night. What a great memory! - Tricia, Nightlife & Special Events Manager

I think I have about 50, but Rage Against the Machine at Denver Colosseum during the Battle Of Los Angeles tour stands out. I traded lousy tickets for floor tickets with a friend who wanted to put the moves on some girls. Rage was at their peak, and Tom Morello blew my mind with insane guitar solos that I can remember vividly  13 years later. The entire arena was a ball of energy and now I have the visuals to go with the classic songs I still listen to. - Nate, Social Media

I ask you, when you’re out shopping for that sweater or socks…. think about giving the the gift of concert tickets and maybe making someone’s “best concert” list. I’m booking shows for 2012, and I’m proud to say there are excellent shows coming! To name a few, Joe Nichols has 2 shows next weekend at Santa Fe Station, Aaron Lewis’ amazing acoustic performances always sell out, and Styx, Joe, George Thorogood, the Little River Band are sure to create memories!

November 2011 Concerts In Las Vegas

This month is about charity. The beautiful and talented Leann Rimes was set to kick off the giving season with a performance on November 3 at Green Valley Ranch, but due to an unfortunate illness the day of the show, the  benefit concert has been rescheduled and moved to Santa Fe Station on December 3. The $9.55 tickets went quickly, but a few may become available. Check ticket availability here.

Green Valley Ranch and our friends at RagTag Entertainment have a very busy month ahead. We’ll go into details on these shows for you this week, but in the meantime visit this page to see a lineup of great performances.

Classic Rock fans won’t want to miss Blue Oyster Cult live at Boulder Station’s Railhead on Nov. 18th and we’re getting funky with Average White Band at Green Valley Ranch’s Ovation on Nov. 12th.

October 2011 Concerts In Las Vegas

We kicked off a groovy October with the blues rock legends, ZZ Top at Sunset Station, and we have a giant weekend planned Oct. 7th & 8th at Red Rock! The Amphitheatre will be rockin’ for the Honda Civic Tour featuring blink-182 & My Chemical Romance on Friday night, and doing it again for international superstars, Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull on Saturday night!

This month, Louie Anderson celebrates one year at Palace Station! (Watch for more information next week about some special announcements & events).

More legendary performers are set to perform for you in October: Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac (Aliante Station Tickets), Little Feat (Boulder Station Tickets), George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic (Fiesta Rancho Tickets) and Martina McBride visits Green Valley Ranch (Tickets).

Don’t forget two of our favorite monthly entertainment offerings:

  • Nashville Unplugged – GVR Oct. 7 & Oct. 21. and Santa Fe Station on Oct. 8th Only $5.00 for consistently-great show filled with laughs and songs performed by some of country music’s brightest songwriters.
  • Las Vegas locals’ favorite rock band, Otherwise, performs live at GVR on Oct. 8 and Aliante Station on Oct. 28. Here’s a video for one of the most patriotic songs you’ll hear, “Soldiers,” the newest from Otherwise:

September 2011 Concerts In Las Vegas

Just because the days are getting cooler this month, that doesn’t mean the Las Vegas Concert scene isn’t as hot as ever. We’ll be hosting dozens of indoor and outdoor shows this month. All are convenient and affordable for Vegas locals and out-of-town guests. Sunset Amphitheatre at Sunset Station gets the spotlight this month  (had to draw straws).

See Country stars, Billy Currington (Friday, September 9th. Tickets) and Gary Allan (Saturday, September 17th. Tickets). We welcome listeners from four local radio stations to these three Free Las Vegas Concerts at Sunset Station in September:

July 2011 Concerts In Las Vegas

Really enjoyed Grace Potter as part of our Revolution series.

Can you believe it’s July already!? We’re halfway through 2011, and we’re headed for more great shows.

No matter what you’re into musically, Station Casinos likely has a concert for you in July. There’s Soul (70’s Soul Jam), Jazz (Dave Koz and Najee), Alt Rock (Neon Trees and Lifehouse), Banda (Banda Maguey, Los Baby’s & Los Bondadosos) Comedy (Last Comic Standing Winner, Iliza Shlesinger) and Country Classics (David Frizzell & Shelly West). Also, American Idol finalist Casey James performs at Santa Fe Station on July 30th. See all of the upcoming Las Vegas concerts at Station Casinos here.

I enjoy reading your comments here on the Station Casinos blog, and we also read our facebook pages and twitter every day. We see that we have lots of Buckinghams and Daughtry fans on our pages, for example, and we know you love our weekly entertainment, too.

Now I want to learn more about the shows you want to see! So, please comment below the three shows you’d most like to see, and which Station Casinos venue would best host the show.

Thanks for reading and thanks for the feedback!

We’re off and running with our Summer Concert Season at Station Casinos, and boy, did the Barenaked Ladies start us off with a Bang at Red Rock Resort for Memorial Day Weekend!  Coming up this month – some of the most exciting Las Vegas Concert News of the year: the Grand Opening of the Red Rock Casino Amphitheatre is June 18th! This is where we’ll all enjoy Motley Crue, Poison and the New York Dolls (6/18), Toby Keith with special guest Eric Church (8/6), The Honda Civic Tour Presents Blink 182 and My Chemical Romance (10/7) and Enrique Iglesias with Pitbull (10/8)! We’re planning to post a tour of the new Amphitheatre soon, so keep checking back here on the blog to see an up-close view of the new home of the best concerts in Las Vegas.

Not all the fun in June is at Red Rock though. For our East-side concert fans, don’t miss out on TG Sheppard (Boulder Station, June 10), John Waite ( Boulder, June 11) [ Boulder Station Concert Tickets ] and the Legendary Doobie Brothers (Sunset Station, June 17) and country music icon Randy Travis! May 2011 Concerts in Las Vegas

Hi again everyone.

We’ll start with the BIG news that we’re building a new concert venue in Las Vegas, and even bigger news is that we have two giant shows booked for it already: Motley Crue, Poison and the New York Dolls are set to perform June 18, and Toby Keith with special guest Eric Church on August 6 will be rockin’ the new Red Rock Casino Amphitheatre! We’ll talk more about the amazing new amphitheatre at Red Rock in upcoming posts but for now I can tell you that the Toby concert will be all reserved seating, so get your Toby Keith tickets early as they go on sale this Saturday (April 30) at 10am.

As I write this, we’re finishing off a busy April, and kicking off the biggest summer concert season in Station Casinos’ history. Probably the biggest in Las Vegas history! There are more shows than ever at Station Casinos throughout the valley, with something for every music fan’s taste.

Robert Cray, Sean Kingston, Echo and The Bunnymen and the Barenaked Ladies all play at May concerts Red Rock. How’s that for diversity? We can’t say enough about the pool-party-concert-extravaganza we have in store for Las Vegas in the Revolution Party for the People with the Barenaked Ladies on Memorial Day weekend (May 27). $30 gets a Local a lot of Love.

We’re also excited to welcome our old friend, Michael Grimm, to his Green Valley Ranch home, at Ovation on May 9. You know him as the winner of America’s Got Talent in 2010. We know him as the good guy/amazing musical talent who performed at many Station Casinos’ lounges and steakhouses throughout the past several years. Another repeat performance of sorts during May is the return of the musical Rent at GVR, which will run every Tuesday in May and June after sold-out performances earlier this year.

Our Country fans tell us they’re excited to see the Merle Haggard show at the Sunset Amphitheatre at Sunset Station on May 13, our Jazz fans are headed to Santa Fe Station for Norman Brown and Richard Elliot’s Summer Jam, and the ro

ckers will love Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience at Aliante Station on May 28.

Two more great shows in May I want to mention and we hope will enjoy are Blues guitarist and music legend Johnny Rivers, Secret Agent Man, at Aliante Station on May 6, and Dokken & Quiet Riot are playing a free Listener Appreciation Concert at Sunset Station. Listen to 97.1 KXPT and 92.3KOMP for ticket giveaway details.

It’s really heating up around here!

April 2011 Concerts in Las Vegas

No foolin’ – here at Station Casinos, we love April. The weather warms up, pools open up and most importantly – later this month the outdoor stages go up.

Our first outdoor show of 2011 is a big one: the Darius Rucker concert at Sunset Amphitheater on the 29thfeaturing. Darius just did a stunning show on the ACM Awards so we expect another amazing performance. Then, the following night, Great White and Slaughter perform for 97.1 KXPT and 92.3 KOMP’s  Listener-Appreciation Concert. Be sure to listen to those two stations to find out where you can pick up your free concert tickets in Las Vegas. Folk rocker Livingston Taylor will perform inside at Sunset Station’s Club Madrid (9th).

MORE OUTDOOR CONCERTS: Check out the poolside concert lineup at Red Rock starting May 3!

Last Saturday (2nd), Rock legends Heart performed at the Grand Events Center at Green Valley Ranch. Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson rocked the capacity crowd with all the classics! If you enjoyed the Heart concert (see pictures below), and be sure to mark your calendar for the 29th for the Foreigner concert at GVR, as well.  (Did you know they have sold an amazing 70 million albums?) We also announced that the musical Rent, after a very well-received run the last two months, will be coming back to GVR’s Ovation. Tickets for the musical Rent, Tuesdays in May and June, are just $15 plus tax/fees and available now.

Boulder Station’s Railhead hosts April Las Vegas concerts with Eddie Money (15th), Eric Burdon & The Animals (22nd), and Edwin McCain (23rd). If you haven’t seen a concert in Las Vegas at the Railhead, you should catch any of these shows, plus – they are all priced very reasonably. We’re told it’s one of the best places in Vegas to see a concert!

George Thorogood And The Destroyers will perform classics such as “Bad To the Bone,” and “Move It On Over” at the Dallas Events Center inside Texas Station on April 30th

Fiesta Rancho hosts Michel’Le & Christopher William (8th) and Chico DeBarge on (29th). Chuy Lizarraga (3oth) also performs in Club Tequila at Fiesta Rancho. His first hit “La Peinada (La Peinadita),” broke into the Top 10 of the Billboard charts.

Aliante Station’s Access Showroom is the place to be on April 8 if you like 60’s Soul Sounds. The Rascals & Mitch Ryder roll into Las Vegas to perform songs you know, such as: “Good Lovin’,” “Devil with a Blue Dress On/Good Golly Miss Molly,” and “It’s a Beautiful Morning.” At nearby Santa Fe Station, on April 23, you can catch BJ Thomas (all-ages) at Chrome, and you can get “Hooked On A Feeling” and appropriately for April, hear “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head.” BJ Thomas concert tickets start at just $20+tax/fees for this show.

You can Party On The Rocks five times this month at Red Rock! Come see The Edgar Winter Group (2nd); Morris Day & The Time, one of the best live shows you’ll ever see on the 9th; Bruce Hornsby (16th) treats us to a rare appearance in Vegas; Cowboy Mouth (23rd), who sold out this same room last summer; and the recent Grammy Award Winner Leon Russell (30th).  Can you believe these Party on the Rocks tickets are just $20+ tax/fees?

March 2011 Concerts in Las Vegas

March is sure to be a great month for music fans in Las Vegas at Station Casinos: 10 great concerts, 1 comedian and 4 plays, to be precise.

This month brings us something very special to Ovation inside Green Valley Ranch with the Ragtag Entertainment production of the Broadway classic, RENT. Benefitting Golden Rainbow, these shows are each Wednesday night in March (9, 16, 23, and 30). What’s more, tickets to see RENT in Las Vegas are only $15 + tax & fees. Don’t miss it!

Music-wise, start things off March 4 at Boulder Station’s Railhead with The Alan Parsons Live Project. (Get your Alan Parsons tickets quick, they’re going fast!) Classic Country music fans will want to be back the following night at the Railhead for Roy Clark. Also March 5 across town at Red Rock see the harmonica guru known for his days as the front man of Blues Traveler, John Popper and The Duskray Troubadours. Rocks Lounge is such an exciting and intimate place to see a band like this - so much diversity.

Exclusive Video of Aaron Lewis performing live at Aliante Station, January 2011

Christian Rock fans in Las Vegas should be excited for March 11 at Santa Fe Station. Stryper is touring and celebrating their new album, The Covering – a tribute album compiled of the band’s influences. Here’s a tip: There’s a very special VIP Meet and Greet ticket upgrade for Stryper available.

March 12 at Green Valley Ranch is another huge name you know: Huey Lewis and The News! We’re refraining from Hip-To-Be-Square calls to action, so let’s just agree to hurry and grab your Huey Lewis tickets while they last. Same night in Summerlin at Red Rock is Vertical Horizon, who went Double Platinum with their album, Everything You Want, back in ’99. Brought to you by Belvedere Vodka, Party On The Rocks tickets at Rocks Lounge are just $20 + tax & fees.

Al Stewart returns to Vegas at Sunset Station on March 18, and the hilarious Comedian Doug Stanhope is back at Sunset inside Club Madrid the following night.

Aaron Lewis of Staind plays back-to-back acoustic shows at Green Valley Ranch’s Ovation on the 19 and 20. (Important note: Aaron Lewis will perform two different sets on Saturday and Sunday, so don’t miss this unique opportunity). We have some exclusive footage from his recent sold-out January show at Aliante Station. As you can see, Aaron Lewis puts on a great show.

Toad The Wet Sprocket rounds out March inside Rocks Lounge at Red Rock for a show on March 26. The Red Rock facebook fans told us that they had a blast with Toad last time around, and we’re excited to have them back!

Our February Las Vegas Concerts

There are no less than 19 fantastic Las Vegas shows lined up for music fans in February starting with Eddy Raven this Friday 4, at Aliante Station (Access Showroom tickets start at $15 plus tax/fees) Did you know he had 17 consecutive Top 10s between 1984 and 1990?

On Feb. 5, the legendary Blue Oyster Cult will rock Boulder Station’s Railhead, one of the best music venues in Las Vegas. Those tickets start at just $26.50 plus tax & fees. Red Rock will also be partying on the 5th, with the launch of the second season of Party On The Rocks concerts and the Gin Blossoms. Tickets are always $20 + tax/fees for this series, with the “Party” portion of the night brought to you by our friends at Belvedere Vodka.

On Feb. 11, Las Vegas Jazz music fans get a real treat at Boulder Station with the return of Guitars & Saxes featuring super-talents Gerald Albright, Peter White, Jeff Golub and Kirk Whalum. Last year, this show sold out well in advance. Also on the 11th, Mix 94.1 has partnered with Aliante Station to bring you Ryan Star, and the tickets for this show are just $9.41 + tax/fees! It’s been a while since concert ticket prices were that low!  Comedian, SIRIUS Radio show host and avid metal music fan, Jim Norton, will crack up comedy fans at Sunset Station that same night, and he’ll be fresh off an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Feb. 12 brings The Georgia Satellites (Red Rock), Christopher Cross (Sunset Station) and Johnny Gill for Las Vegas R&B music fans at Texas Station.

Guitar hero Robin Trower returns to the Railhead on Feb. 18. If you like a great guitar solo, don’t miss Trower in such a perfect venue to match his style. That same night, Al DiMeola will spice up Green Valley Ranch with his Latin-influenced jazz fusion.

Country music legend George Jones performs Feb. 19 at the Dallas Events Center at Texas Station. That same night, Southern Rockers The Atlanta Rhythm Section will be Partying On The Rocks in Summerlin at Red Rock.

On Feb. 26, we’re really excited to welcome back legendary Country music artist, Mel Tillis, to Boulder Station’s Railhead. Lastly, if last year’s packed BoDeans show was any indication, their show at Red Rock (Feb. 26) will keep guests at Red Rock rocking into March at full tempo.

A Guest Blogger’s Perfect Night Out Under the Stars

SO AS A Vegas local its not often that we get to enjoy quality concerts outdoors at night. Up until this point we have only had one on-Strip option for this and it has its drawbacks. So much to my surprise Red Rock Casino invested a lot of resources into building an outdoor concert stage and a really dynamic lineup. It’s still a surprise to me that this entire experience isn’t on the strip.

So depending on the size of the audience for their summer concert series the show is either out by the pool or in the newly built outdoor arena. The night I ventured out featured The Gypsy Kings and was out by the pool. Walking out to the pool area I suddenly realized that there probably wasn’t a more perfect venue for this show. A concert under the stars is a fun and unique experience which if you haven’t done yet you simply aren’t living. There was ample space and the sound was great. It seemed natural that this should be the place for shows like this.

The other big perk was the seating options! You can take a seat and lounge by the pool, you can sit on a raised area overlooking the entire event, or sit in a tiered seating area in front of the stage. Quite honestly there seemed to be only one drawback and that would be all the bars are cash only. So if you venture out, and lets be honest you should, make sure you hit the ATM before going in.

Now I have spent this entire time gushing on the venue but, I should say something about The Gypsy Kings. Never can I recall seeing such a diverse crowd in one place. Their music was great and everyone was having a blast. Personally my only let down is they didn’t play their version of “You got a friend in me” from Toy Story 3 but, lets be honest I doubt that was going to happen. It was really a great night with a perfect combination of place, people, and music.

Questions?

An Interview With Lifehouse’s Bryce Soderberg

Soderberg (far right) is our kind of Rock Star. He likes hold'em, Zeppelin and Vegas!

ONCE IN AWHILE, a really lucky while in this case, the SC Blog scores a Q&A with a real Rock Star.

As is the case below, with Bryce Soderberg, the bassist for Lifehouse, which is playing this weekend in our Revolution Summer Concert Series at the Sandbar by the pool at Red Rock Resort.

Lucky us.

Lucky you.

Thanks Bryce!

SC Blog: What is your favorite thing about Las Vegas?

BS: The atmosphere mixed with the limitless entertainment. There’s no other city like it. There’s something for everyone.

Do you gamble? What is your favorite casino game?

I personally like to play No-Limit Hold ‘em. I won a tournament at the Mirage and one at the Paris a couple of years ago, but I haven’t played in awhile.

If you could share the stage with any other band, who would it be?

We had the opportunity to share the stage with Coldplay and Elbow last month, and a few years back we opened for the Stones. But if it were anyone? Led Zeppelin.

What is the first album you purchased?

Nirvana, Nevermind

What can fans expect from your show?

A mix of our past records and our current one. We pride ourselves on our live show and can’t wait to play Vegas.

Who is your biggest musical influence?

Too many to say. The Beatles, Zeppelin, The Police, Nirvana, Petty…

Hendrix or Paige? Lady Gaga or Madonna?

Paige and Madonna because she was first, but I like Gaga.

What is your favorite city to visit/perform?

No joke, Vegas. That’s why the biggest names stay here!

Toby, Vegas & Stations … Now And Then

BY NOW YOU have heard that Toby Keith is returning to Red Rock on August 6 with Eric Church and JT Hodges. We go way back with Toby Keith. In fact, he has performed more concerts at Station Casinos than any other headlining artist. Since the mid-1990s, Toby has rocked Las Vegas Country fans at six Station Casinos:  Boulder Station, Texas Station, Palace Station, Sunset Station, Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch!

Have you read my Monthly Entertainment Blog Post?

When we announced the show back in April, some of our facebook friends asked questions referring to our most recent Toby Keith concert in Las Vegas, back in 2009 at Red Rock. This one’s much different:

  • Brand new venue – the Red Rock Casino Amphitheatre (with newly painted seat lettering).
  • Toby Keith Concert Seating Map

    Toby Keith Concert Seating Map

  • Bigger show – It has 8,800 seats – ALL reserved. Click on seating chart to the right here.
  • Can I get a drink? You bet. At any of 40 bars – minimizes your wait time so you can get back to your seat quickly.
  • Can I get a good seat and see the show better? Yes! The farthest seat is 220 ft from the stage. There are no bad seats.
  • How is the parking? Improved. You can park at either parking garage, but we recommend the overflow lot on the corner of Park Center and Pavilion Center Drive. Enter from Charleston Blvd.
  • How much are tickets? Tickets start at just $43! Big fan? Upgrade to $69, $89, or $125 tickets. (Plus taxes and fees).

Here’s where to purchase Toby Keith Concert Tickets – before they’re gone!

We’ll end with this classic Toby Keith video, one of my faves, Should’ve Been A Cowboy!

Previewing the ‘Revolution’ary Summer Shows at Red Rock

IF YOU GO to concerts in Vegas, we have probably bumped elbows, or for sure waited for a beverage in line together. See, I attend quite a few live shows. My wife and I catch around 60-70 concerts per year, give or take, in and around Vegas.

I think that’s why I have been asked to preview the summer series at Red Rock: Revolution – Party for the People. The series of Las Vegas concerts kicks off Memorial Day weekend, and I’m STOKED.  Call me biased because I work for Station Casinos if you want – but I’d be Red Rockin’ poolside this summer even if I didn’t. There’s a wide variety of great talent coming to entertain us – and the shows are all just $30!

Let’s face it: a lot of Las Vegans could use an affordable, warm night out under the stars with cold drinks, great music, and beautiful people.  That’s exactly what Judy Alberti, our Entertainment VP has line up for us this summer (check out her monthly blog).Oh yeah, and you got to like Red Rock on facebook because we’re giving away free tickets and stuff.

Here’s what you can expect, along with my 2 cents about each show:

5/27 – Barenaked Ladies. Revolution series’ kickoff bash.  This will be a big party, with great weather. Expect: lots of sing-a-longs. Except for that one song with the Chinese Chicken. I doubt many know the words. I sure don’t. Barenaked Ladies concert tickets

6/3 – Goo Goo Dolls. Expect: lots of beautiful ladies, fun couples, great rock music for the masses. You’ll know the songs from years of hits. Look forward to a perfect warm night of poolside music and happy people. Can’t beat that. Goo Goo Dolls concert tickets

Red Rock is offering a cool package deal where you get
2 free tickets with any Friday night stay!

6/10 – O.A.R. I’m really looking forward to seeing this band live. I recently watched an HDNet concert of theirs, and it was fantastic. They are known as one of the best performances you can catch. Think DMB/Phish vibe, lots of long, super funky guitar solos and killer harmonies. O.A.R. concert tickets

6/17 – Steel Pulse. I’m not a huge reggae fan, but I absolutely love reggae shows. I saw UB40 at the Red Rock pool a few years ago (before I worked for Station Casinos) and my friends and I had a blast. Reggae is good-time music. If you attend this show and you don’t have fun, you should check your pulse. Steel Pulse concert tickets

6/24 – Gavin DeGraw. Expect: groovy piano jams with fun, funky vocals. You’ll know the songs, and if you’re not sure, go to YouTube. His tunes are the ones with 4.8, 3.6, and 1.8 million views. Gavin DeGraw concert tickets

7/1 – Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. A friend and co-worker turned me on to GP & TN after her last visit to Las Vegas. He just said: go buy this album and see her next time they’re in town. I did, and I will. You should too, if you like great rock n roll music. Grace Potter concert tickets

7/8 – Puddle Of Mudd. Expect: loud, hot, and heavy. None of these are bad things. I recommend cutting loose and opening up to this type of band, if you don’t already. You’ll find that this is a very good, well-rounded band. I bet you’ll even find that you know more songs than you thought. Puddle Of Mudd concert tickets

7/15 – Neon Trees. Expect: big, beautiful crowd. Then Expect: to be humming their songs for a few days and weeks after the show.  They recently opened for The Killers and My Chemical Romance, and again, if you need a sample, check out YouTube. (Roughly 10 million other people did!) Neon Trees concert tickets

7/29 – Lifehouse. This is one of the biggest bands of the last 10 years. You’ll recognize many of their songs from rotation of our radio partner, Mix 94.1 here in Las Vegas, as well as various TV shows, like Smallville, Cold Case, Grey’s Anatomy, Scrubs and The Hills. Expect: big turnout, great party. You can already picture the ladies singing along in the pool, can’t ’cha? Lifehouse concert tickets

8/5 – Weezer. This series will end with a plaid-patterned, pocket-protected bang, friends. That’s because, frankly, Weezer is just that huge. Who knew “nerd-rock” was even a genre? I saw Weezer play at Vegoose a few years ago, and they made me into a fan. Expect: a sell-out. Expect: an awesome party. Expect: to know all the songs. Expect: to be blown away! Weezer concert tickets

Have you seen any of the bands in concert already? Which are you coming to for sure? … thinking about coming? Let me know below!
