Everyone’s Irish During Our St. Patrick’s Day Fun

Erin Go Buffet from March 12-17.

TWO IRISHMEN WALK into a bar … no, no, we’re not telling any stereotyping jokes about the Irish people and drink.

Instead we’ll just say we have some fun planned for St. Patrick’s Day in Las Vegas, which, mostly, centers on tilting a few colorful beers and ales back and having a few laughs.

We also have some St. Patty’s dining specials (to the right here at the Feast and Festival Buffets) with food items that don’t include any alcohol … unless you count the Whiskey Bread Pudding. All our Grand Cafes will also be serving Corn Beef and Cabbage and Bread Pudding from March 12-17.

We also, also, have live music in case you feel a jig coming on. Click on any of the leprechaun-sized images to enlarge for details.

And please, no matter where you have your fun in Las Vegas for St. Patrick’s Day, be careful. Remember what the responsible Irishman said when ordering a drink on St. Patrick’s Day: “I’ll have what the man on the floor’s having!”

Sorry, we had to tell at least one joke.

Happy St. Patty’s Day!

@ Sunset Station (on facebook)

Now this is on Friday, March 16, so let’s call it a pre-St. Patrick’s Day event but probably our most meaningful one. Starting at 9pm Club Madrid will host the St. Baldrick’s head-shaving event to benefit pediatric cancer research. Sin City Sinners is playing, KOMP 92.3 will be there, and a few Sunset Team Members are scheduled to lose their locks as well. It’s important so we wrote a press release about the event.

On Saturday/St. Patty’s Day, Rattle & Hum (U2 cover band) plays from 6-9pm followed by the Strung Out Sessions from 10pm-12:30am at Club Madrid, and Buskers Kings will be at the Gaudi Bar, which will also be “green” friendly for sure, 6-10pm.

@ Red Rock Resort (on facebook)

Get lucky, at Red Rock’s Lucky Bar of course, starting at 5pm when you can enter a raffle to Win A Trip To Ireland!

Music and fun at Rocks Lounge starts at 7:30pm with a GoGo competition (not sure what that entails), followed by Publin Draught (good band name) and the always cool Franky Perez.

Over at the YardHouse they have so many beers every day and food and drink specials just for St. Patty’s Day when you can get a Grilled Corned Beef Sandwich and Celtic Mojito, for example.

@ Green Valley Ranch (on facebook)

$3 Green Beer All Day, that seems to be a good place to start with the St. Patrick’s Day party at three Green Valley Ranch bars.

Darby O’Gill and the Little People will be at Quinn’s and Rattle & Hum (U2 tribute band, perfect) is playing Ovation.

Can’t forget about the afternoon Beer Pong Tournament at Quinn’s. $25 per 2-man/woman team (beer included!).

@ Santa Fe Station (on facebook)

Revolver’s Green Party includes a $3,000 cash giveaway.

We like the drawing idea because you receive one raffle ticket with the purchase of any Guinness, Baileys and Bushmills cocktail, so the more you drink the better your chances of winning $3,000 … and there’s just something fair about that.

@ Palace Station (on facebook)

Of course Jack’s at Palace will have 1) live music, 2) a special menu and 3) plenty of dark beers.

Hal Savar will be on stage.

Menu includes green eggs & ham with hash browns, corned beef sliders with fries, shepherd’s pie, potato soup and soda bread.

Nice beer selection on tap including Guinness.

Know any good jokes?
